Gamepad Tester

Test controllers, sticks, buttons and rumble.

Waiting for input...

Test any controller in seconds

  1. Connect via USB or Bluetooth, open this page and press any button to wake the controller.
  2. Pressed inputs light up on the controller drawing: face buttons, D-pad, analog triggers and both sticks. Rotate each stick in full circles to inspect circularity and reach.
  3. Tune the deadzone slider and use vibration to confirm rumble motors. Use raw data to compare IDs across browsers.

Good to know

Which controllers are supported?

Any controller exposed by the Gamepad API with automatic recognition for DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox, Xbox 360 and iPega, plus generic controllers. iPega has no single vendor ID, so it is detected by name and falls back to generic when the name is hidden.

Why does Firefox show nothing until I press a button?

Firefox hides gamepads until the first button press as a fingerprinting protection. Press any button and the controller appears.

Why is vibration unavailable?

Rumble needs Chrome or Edge with a vibrationActuator. Safari does not support it, Firefox support varies, and some adapters hide the actuator. Keep the tab focused.

Is drift detection a diagnosis?

No. The off-center warning is a heuristic based on stick magnitude at rest. It does not replace hardware testing or repair guides.
