DPI check
  1. Mark a straight line on your desk (a ruler helps) and type its length below.

Test every part of your mouse

What is polling rate?

How often the mouse reports its position per second. 125 Hz is office standard, 500 to 1000 Hz is common in gaming.

How do I measure DPI correctly?

Move in one straight line, measure the real distance with a ruler and type it in. Short swipes give noisy results.

Right click opens a menu instead of testing?

Use the click pad: the menu is blocked there so the right button counts normally.

Does the browser limit precision?

Some smoothing and acceleration come from the OS. Compare mice in the same setup for fair results.
