Why does the recording sound thin or distant?
You are probably on the wrong input: a webcam mic across the room instead of the headset. Pick the right device above and keep it 5 to 15 cm from your mouth.
What causes robotic cut-outs in recordings?
Usually aggressive noise suppression, Bluetooth running out of bandwidth, or CPU spikes. Record with enhancements off and other apps closed to isolate it.
Which format does the download use?
The browser records WebM with Opus when available and falls back to MP4. Both play in modern browsers and are accepted by most support desks.
