Diagnose your printer with one page
- Pick your paper size and orientation above — the page is generated locally as vector SVG.
- Print with scale at 100 percent so the 100 mm ruler measures exactly 100 mm.
- Compare each block: solid black, grayscale, CMYK, RGB, gradient, fine lines, alignment, banding, margins, scale, photo and sublimation.
- Mark the failed blocks in the questionnaire to get the likely cause and the next fix.
- Fix one thing at a time and reprint only the failed block before a full cleaning cycle.
- For sublimation, judge the pressed result, not the paper: washed colors mean more heat, time or pressure.
Printer test questions
Why must scale be 100 percent?
Any shrink-to-fit changes the ruler and hides margin clipping. With 100 percent, the 100 mm bar must measure exactly 100 mm with a ruler.
Do I need special ink for the sublimation block?
The block prints with any ink, but only sublimation ink on sublimation paper transfers correctly. Judge the pressed fabric or mug, never the printed sheet.
How often should I run head cleaning?
Only when the banding block shows white lines. Cleaning wastes ink, so confirm the clog on paper first and clean once.
Can I print this on any printer?
Yes: inkjet, laser and sublimation printers. Laser printers will not show nozzle banding; focus on alignment, margins and gray steps.
